The Process

Ready to begin a project, but don’t know where to start? One World Architecture will help you organize your project and realize your vision.

One World Architecture (OWA) recognizes that when a client decides to embark on a project, each will have a unique vision, goals, and budget. Whether a project is new construction or a renovation, we work to be mindful of our client’s big picture. We search for smart, creative solutions that skillfully address our client’s needs as we guide them through the myriad decisions and complexities that arise during the design process.

Whether it’s coming up with initial schematic design ideas, estimating a project budget, working with consultants and engineers, producing construction drawings, obtaining a building permit and bids from contractors, OWA will tailor a design process to fit your needs, schedule, and budget.

Our services range from simple consultation services to full service architectural design to 3D visualization to construction management. OWA serves the residential, commercial, and institutional architectural design markets. We have completed projects with a wide variety of building types, sizes and budgets.

Our Services

Private Residential Design

OWA has completed projects ranging from small interior room renovations, to large new homes in excess of 10,000 square feet. From modern Chicago apartments, to traditional Shingle and Arts and Crafts homes, our range of stylistic flexibility is broad. We welcome projects of any size or scope.

Sacred Space Design

OWA has strong experience with religious structures for a variety of faiths, as well as a deep interest in buildings for community use. We have also completed landmark architectural and landscape historic preservation projects.

Commercial Design

OWA has worked with various businesses to expand and renovate existing spaces. We have designed new commercial buildings from the ground up, as well as interior architecture for tenant space. Our commercial projects include grocery stores, medical and general office space, and restaurants.

Energy Efficiency Modeling

One World Architecture optimizes the green design process by using powerful, real-time energy modeling and analysis software that provides live engineering, utility, and environmental impact data to our designers and clients throughout the entire design process. Using this analysis and data from the earliest stages of design means less reworking and second-guessing later, translating into significant time and money savings.

Sustainable Design

While sustainable design involves more commitment than standard building practices, OWA believes that high-performance, environmentally responsible design should be easily attainable for all clients regardless of budget or time limitations. To this end, we strive to make the sustainable design process as simple, fast, and clear as possible. From residential homes to commercial buildings, new construction to renovations, we address sustainable design strategies for any building type, at any scale.

Consulting Services

OWA can also be retained to provide consulting services such as design and code compliance review, property and building evaluation, master planning, and troubleshooting. We also maintain a network of consultants, contractors, engineers, and other industry professionals to expand our expertise and provide robust and comprehensive service to our clients.
